Trauma Society of India is a registered nonprofit organization registered under the Societies registration act 1860. The society is formed by the members who are qualified Traumatologist, Orthopaedic surgeons and General surgeons with postgraduate qualification. The society is exactly 10 years old and presently there are more than 355 life members. The main aim of the society is to propogate the knowledge of Orthopaedics and Traumatology by holding various meetings, conferences, symposia. Every year TSI conducts the annual conference and midterm meeting all over the country. During every yearly conference few overseas speakers are invited to contribute to the academic environment of the meeting. In addition the organization conducts teaching courses for postgraduates and young Orthopaedic surgeons. The recent trends and modern methods of fixation are discussed in these meetings.TSI is planning to start the inland fellowships and is planning to publish journal.
