Tamil Nadu Orthopaedic Association TOA TNOA

The Tamil Nadu Orthopaedic Association was founded way back in the sixties under the leadership of stalwarts like Dr.Narasimha Iyer and Dr.M.Natarajan. The association has grown in stature over the years and has already completed 39 years of existance and will be conducting the 42nd Annual conference in February 2009 at Coimbatore. The association has formally been registered officially in February, 2002 and its constitution and byelaws, officially communicated to the registrar of society act.


Tamil Nadu Orthopaedics has always been known for its academic brilliance and many senior Orthopaedic Surgeon have contributed their might in the development of Orthopaedics both in the state and at Indian Orthopaedic Association level Several Continuing Medical Education programmes, live demonstration and workshop are being conducted every year, but the weakness has been its proper documentations. Every year during the conference, the association features the following orations best paper awards, TNOA Quiz and traveling fellowship.
