The Swiss Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology is the professional association of specialists in orthopedic surgery and traumatology.
The Society is an association under Article 60 et seq of the Swiss Civil Code.
The company is responsible for safeguarding the professional interests and the ethical principles of medical action of its members. It is based on the professional regulations of the combination of Swiss doctors (FMH).
The company recognizes the statutes of FMH and is in accordance with their rules (WBO / FBO; specialist for the title is also the parent FMPG authoritative) responsible for the education and training in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology of the musculoskeletal system and their ability to focus and identity cards. It is represented by the Swiss Medical Association.
The company aims to promote their field in science, education and research and maintains relationships with related companies and organizations at home and abroad.
The company may national and international professional associations, professional societies and institutions to join. About the candidate as well as representatives of the Board decides.
The company may operate an office or appoint a manager responsible for the administrative aspects of the company and the first contact and information point for the media and the general public.
