History

The Romanian Society for Surgery of the Hand (RSSH) is Romanian's only professional association representing hand surgeons.

The Society was founded in 1997 by the plastic surgeons form all over Romania.

It provides support for its members through continuing education, professional development, networking and representation at state and national and international levels including IFSSH and EFSSH meetings.

It also acts as a central referral point for doctors and members of the public seeking the services of Hand Surgeons in specific geographic locations.

From establishing, the Society had several scientific activities including Post IFSSH Congress in Bucharest - june 2004.

Training courses in major universitary centers in Romania and during September 2005, organizing The International Course of Hand Surgery and Hand Therapy.
