History

In 1951 a small group of surgeons installed in the west, creates Orthopedic Society of the West particularly with Maurice HOREAU (St.Nazaire), its President and Robert OFFICE (Nantes), its secretary.

The company organizes annual meetings of which the first was held in Roscoff.

Very quickly, with the arrival in the west of the "Club of Ten" (group of ten friends surgeons, trained in Paris, intending a career in provincial and some university), the company structure and will become the Company Orthopedic and Traumatology of the West (SOO) subsidiary of the French Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology. now SOFCOT)
