Dear honorable members of the Korean Society for Surgery of the Hand,
It has been 26 years since our seniors of orthopedic surgery and reconstructive surgery respectively founded the Korean Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Korean Society of Reconstructive Hand Surgery in 1982. The societies were integrated into the Korean Society for Surgery of the Hand 6 years ago.
The system for sub-specialists was initiated and has been successfully implemented owing to our members' assistance and support. It seems to make our members feel proud to give medical treatment. Also, this achievement was made possible by our senior members and previous board members who have made efforts and sacrifices leading up to this moment.
Rapid changes in the external world require our members to be innovative and progressive for their sakes.
As the 19th president of the Korean Society of Surgery of the Hand, I will try my best to develop our society and members.
Our members are asked to take active part in our society's activities.
I wish all of our members good health and peace.
