History
History of the Italian Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow SICSeG.
(1992-2002)
The Society of Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow (SICSeG) was founded in Milan in 1992 at the initiative of prof. Mario Clubs. Prof. Lamberto Perugia was the first President, Vice President Professor. Mario Randelli, the councilors Proff. Luigi Celli and Franco Postacchini and Secretary-Treasurer Dr. PierLuigi Gambrioli.
In 1987 was founded the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow (SECEC-ESSSE) and the Italian Society was one of the first to be organized at the national level and to contribute to the work of the European Company with a large number of ordinary members and associates.
In 1988 Professor Celli and the school of Modena organized the 1st conference dedicated to the updating of shoulder surgery
In 1990, the Presidency SECEC was entrusted to Prof. Mario Randelli and he had organized in Milan on the 4th Congress of the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow, which was held in Milan the best European and world specialists from 4 to October 6.
In 1991 he also began the now long and prestigious tradition of course Shoulder Surgery organized by Prof: Clubs and from his school .. Many of the current exponents of the shoulder surgery have taught or were trained by participating in these courses, whose example was widely followed in time.
The SICSeG gathered thus a need to organize their experiences now validly acquired in the previous decade's research, clinical practice and surgery and eventually teaching on matters pertaining to the pathology of the shoulder and elbow.
The company currently has 480 members, a ten-year history and the stages of its development are important steps forward in knowledge and treatment of disease of the shoulder and elbow.
