International Congress for Joint Reconstruction ICJR

ICJR

A Community for Orthopaedic Surgeons

Unifying Community by Reinventing Orthopaedic Education : This continuing medical education conference will focus on educating surgeons by featuring case studies, interactive audience discussion, live workshops, and product theaters in addition to traditional didactic lectures.

Founded in 2007, ICJR is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing orthopaedic surgeons with quality education delivered by leaders in orthopaedics. ICJR’s mission is to revive and reinvent orthopaedic education, while creating a community of orthopaedic surgeons. To achieve this mission, ICJR delivers education via a multi-channel continuum of learning: ICJR's annual live event brings surgeons together for face-to-face interaction, while its online offerings provide an opportunity for a continual exchange of ideas. ICJR's founders, led by President & CEO, Dr. Norman Scott and Vice President, Dr. Arlen Hanssen, believe in supporting advances in orthopaedics, which is why all profits are redirected back into the community via philanthropic activities.

PURPOSE : This is a patient-centered conference for orthopaedic reconstructive surgeons, physician assistants (PA) and orthopaedic nurses. Over the course of 5 days, expert faculty will guide orthopaedic surgeons, PAs and nurses through in-depth, pivotal research and effective practices in hip and knee joint reconstruction

OVERVIEW : The ICJR 2010 meeting will provide surgeons with 5 full days of in-depth and relevant reconstructive surgery information in engaging formats. In all, 30 ICJR faculty-led CME sessions will offer attendees the chance to earn up to 26.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. In between CME sessions, attendees have the opportunity to meet with sales representatives on the exhibit floor, attend lunch sessions, and participate in workshops.

The program is being marketed to approximately 25,000 orthopaedic surgeons worldwide. We anticipate up to 400 highly active U.S. orthopaedic professionals will participate in this meeting. TM

OBJECTIVES : Learning objectives will focus participants to become fully cognizant of new and exciting technological advances in hip and knee arthroplasty, including: 1.Management of early osteoarthritis 2.Primary and revision surgery considerations for the hip and the knee 3.Alternative bearing surfaces 4.Computer-assisted navigation 5.Prevention and management of complications 6.The practice economics of arthroplasty
