Eastern Orthopaedic Association EOA
History
The Eastern Orthopaedic Association was founded in 1970. The purpose of the Association is to promote, encourage,foster and advance the art of science and orthopaedic surgery and matters related thereto, and to establish a forum for free discussion and teaching of orthopaedic methods and principles among the members.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Eastern Orthopaedic Association is to promote, encourage, foster and advance the highest quality and most cost effective practice of Orthopaedic Surgery and matters related thereto by:
1. Providing an educational format for the free discussion and teaching of Orthopaedic methods and principles among Orthopaedic Surgeons, both member and non-member.
2. Establishing a forum for practicing Orthopaedic Surgeons to update their knowledge and awareness of new techniques, treatment methods, and devices available for patient care, teaching, and research by using the most appropriate educational methods.
Who Can Belong
Membership in the Eastern Orthopaedic Association shall be open to qualified Orthopaedic Surgeons and Allied Health Professionals who practice within the geographic boundaries of the Association or outside the United States and meet the qualifications and criteria established for members as established in the EOA Bylaws, Article IV – Membership, Sections 2-6.
