Foundation of the "Société Belge the surgery orthopédique by Albin Lambot." Increasing activity in 1940. Since 1929 publications in the "Franco Belges the Archives of Surgery."

1945

Startup of "Acta Orthopaedica Belgica", together with other
Belgian medical journals in the group "Acta" with the
ASSMB the administrative center (Association des Sociétés
Scientifiques médicales Belges).

1963

Stimulated by JC, the Flemish Mulier Orthopedic
Surgeons found together in Lokeren and the Flemish Association for Orthopedics and Traumatology. "

1964

Wetenschappeiijke first meeting of the new association
Pellenberg to cooperate with Professor GUSELEN.
Increasing activity during the next few years. Even the name change. It is: "Belgian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology."

1980

BVOT founds Orthopaedica Belgica's overarching structure
whose board is composed of representatives of the
Both associations (SOBCOT-BVOT).
Orthopaedica Belgica organizes an annual international conference, and participates in the Acta Orthopaedica Belgica.
Also knows the birth of sub-specialized associations among arthroscopic, children's orthopedics, hip surgery, etc.

1990

Integrating the two organizations in the European Movement
and association with EFORT.

1992

Foundation of the association. Acta Orthopaedica Belgica which decided that the joint management is observed by the two associations which sent representatives to the board and drafting committee.
