The Argentine Society of Medicine and Surgery for Leg and Foot was founded in 1969 by personalities of orthopedics as Drs. Orlando B. Natiello, Pascual Tebner Amato and Alfredo Kohn, among others.

The objectives were to promote the development of the surgery of the foot in our country, through teaching, discussion and exchange of views.

They have already spent more than three decades and the changes it has been objectified in the best results in the treatment of disorders of the region.

The advance in anesthetic techniques, through the development of the blockades peripherals, postoperative analgesia, the best interpretation biomechanics of pathologies, more avenues of approach and anatomical implants lower profile and better biocompatibility have allowed the growth of the reconstructive surgery, transforming it into a daily practice of orthopedic specialist.

We believe that even lack a long way to go, surely grafts bank, arthroscopy, arthroplasties of the ankle and hallux, will be the challenges for the coming years.
