Mission

Address by Dr.Ricardo Coppolecchia by end of his presidency:

Ladies and gentlemen:

To mark the end of the mandate today, I speak to you feeling a great honor and privilege to have been able to exercise the presidency of our Association during this period.

I have been standing collaboration of the Steering Committee, which I believe we have been able to continue the work of those who preceded us.

I thank also the attitude of the Former Presidents who continuously maintained their protective approach, helping to ensure that the activity was prolific in the scientific and above all caring for the ethical and moral.

Our Association has, in my opinion, the responsibility of assuming the role of trainers of doctors with an interest in sports medicine. We have an obligation to help them in their training and generate the plot where they can develop.

For this, we have implemented the courses Capital, Rosario and Cordoba among other places. They have a reputation that we must continue to transform them into bringing essential for the training of doctors working in the sport.

In this role of trainers of doctors with an interest in sports medicine, I feel extremely important to generate a consensus with other related associations.

This will allow us to match these associations on a common project for the "medical team" to facilitate their training and establish their obligations.

In my opinion, our Association should assume a leadership to set rules governing the duties and rights of the medical team. He, must assume ultimate responsibility within the overall structure of the team to make medical decisions that give the athlete a safe.

On the other hand, I consider it necessary to start creating standards for implementing programs Trauma fellows in Sport. I believe that they should be regulated by the Association and conducted by the leaders of the various working groups that are the essence of that partnership.

The young medical resident and fully in the interest Sport Traumatology should find in us a bridge that communicates with the Continuing Medical Education with guidance in our sub-specialty. This is, in my view, the next challenge that ASEAN must transform to continue its educational mission.

Among other achievements, we were able to strengthen our link with the Argentine Football Association conducted two days and are transformed into the scientific body of the Association.

It also published the 13th volume of our magazine, thus ensuring continued uninterrupted communication with our partners and other professionals interested in the Traumatology of Sport.

It is also an honor to inform you that all these numbers are available on our Web site to be viewed and downloaded on a free for all professionals, whether or not they are members of our Association.

The next year, from 14 to June 16 will celebrate the XI Congress of the Association and 3rd Day with the AFA. The same will be held at the Pan American Hotel in this city. We will have the presence of key professionals from local and international levels to discuss issues related to our business. Will include a day devoted to the Trauma of Football, as our paradigm as a sport. Arrange with the invaluable support of the AFA to be able to organize it. We count among our guests with the presence of the outgoing President of Isak, Dr. Bergfeld and inbound, Dr. Aglietti. We also have the support of SLARD, through Dr. Pienovi. In the end, we believe an event to be brewing in line with what our needs Association.

I would like to thank Lorena Capua, our invaluable secretary, an irreplaceable partner with whom I could count on at this time unconditionally.

To end my gratitude to my family, my wife and my two daughters who supported me and shared with me these two years.

Dr. Victor Verna will be from now on the President of the AATD. I am confident that amply fulfilled the expectations for the position with honor, for which he was elected. I also ask the members of the Board join him and assist in the same manner in which I've been distinguished. It has all the conditions to continue the task of development requires that the Partnership, which only needs to support it.
